A country for Texas’ kids

Boys and Girls Country is a Christian Home, providing children from families in crisis with love, security, a sense of self-worth, and opportunities to prepare them for a successful life.

The organization is passionate about helping out the kids with their education and it is always making sure that their kids are never in need of school supplies. With the 2015 – 2016 school year ready to begin, these young kids will have to be prepared to make the best out of what should be an exciting year in their lives.

We are having a Back to School drive for the month of August where we will be collecting shcool supplies on behlaf of Boys & Girls Country. From backpacks to pencils, anything to facilitate the education for the future leaders in our community is welcomed. Join our Back to School campaign today!

Stop by any of our locations and drop off some supplies! Or donate directly to the organization.

We would also love to donate to this great cause on your behalf...Just recommend friends and family to our agency for a quote on any insurance policy!

 What the children need:

Elementary students

For the 20 or so elementary students, we would like to purchase the pre-made school supply packages made available by the school. These cost between $35-50 each depending on the grade level and we will buy them at registration later this summer. Donors can designate “School Supplies” on their check to “Boys and Girls Country” or, they can designate “Back to School” and the funds will be applied to our back to school operational needs (includes things like supplies, clothing, Dr.’s appointments, tutoring fees, assessment fees, education staff salaries, etc.)

Also needed:

  • Tempura paint sets
  • Paintbrushes
  • Glue Sticks

Middle and High School students

  • Backpacks for all ages, especially older kids. We also accept gently used Jansport, LL Bean, Swiss Army, Eddie Bauer backpacks.
